Committees and committee members
Committees and Committee Members are both under Tangila Data + MLS in the left-hand menu, alongside your agent and office rosters. Both are synced from your roster feed, and both are more locked-down than most collections in this CMS.
Who can change what
Unlike most content in this CMS, an Author cannot create, edit or delete a committee or committee member at all:
| Create | Edit | Delete | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Admin | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Editor | No | Yes | No |
| Author | No | No | No |
If you can open a committee but the fields won't let you change anything, that's your role, not a fault — ask an Admin.
Why most fields are read-only
Both collections carry a Source field (Tangilla or Manual) and sync-tracking fields (Last Synced, and either Tangilla Committee Name or Tangilla Key) that are always read-only — the data comes from your association's roster system, and the CMS overwrites it on the next sync.
Committee Members also link to their parent Committee via a relationship field, and record their Position, Office / Organization, and Phone Number.
A wrong name, title or phone number should be corrected in your roster system, not here — the fix will appear at the next sync.
Where these appear on the website
The Committees Block (see Automatic list blocks) — an accordion of committees, each expanding to a description and a grid of member cards.
