Forms
Forms is under Site Features. It's where you build the forms themselves — a form only shows up on the website once you also add a Form Block to a page and pick it (see Forms, video and embeds). Building a form here doesn't publish it anywhere on its own.
Building a form
Give it a Title, then add fields one at a time. Available field types: Text, Textarea, Email, Number, Select, Checkbox, Country, State, and Message (a block of instructional text with no input, for adding a note between fields rather than collecting an answer). Each field has its own label and can be marked required.
Set a Submit Button Label, and decide what happens after someone submits:
- Confirmation Type: Message — shows a message on the page (with its own rich-text editor)
- Confirmation Type: Redirect — sends them to a URL instead
Email notifications
Under Emails, you can set up one or more notification emails to send when the form is submitted — each with its own To/CC/BCC/Reply-To, subject and message. To pull a submitted value into that message, wrap the field's name in a pair of double curly brackets with no space, the same way this help centre uses placeholders like the admin address elsewhere — so a field named firstName is referenced by its name wrapped in that pair of brackets. Use an asterisk instead of a field name to output everything submitted, or the asterisk followed by :table to format it as an HTML table in the email body.
**If nobody's set up an email here, submissions are only visible in Form Submissions — nobody gets notified automatically.** Check this before assuming a form "isn't working" — it may just not be wired to send anyone an email.
