Content blocks — text, images and cards

These are the general-purpose blocks you'll reach for on most pages — the building blocks for writing and laying out your own content, as opposed to the automatic list blocks that pull in your news, events or listings (see Automatic list blocks).

To add one: open a page, go to the Content tab, and click to add a block. The names below are exactly what you'll see in that list.

Text Section

A block of rich text — headings, bold/italic, lists, blockquotes, tables, and images you drop straight into the text. This is your default block for a paragraph or two of plain content.

From the text toolbar you can also embed a Call to Action, Video Player, Iframe Embed or a small inline Accordion partway through your text — see Forms, video and embeds for those.

Image Left, Text Right / Image Right, Text Left

Two blocks with identical fields — an image (or several) plus rich text — that differ only in which side the image sits on. Add at least one image and write your text; both are required.

Pick whichever reads better for the layout of the page. There's no other difference between them.

People Cards

A grid of cards, each with a photo, a name and a short bio. Add at least one person. Good for board members, staff spotlights, or any small group of people you want to introduce with a headshot.

FAQ Section

A heading plus a list of questions and answers, styled as an expandable accordion.

The questions and answers themselves are not typed here. Each row is a question pulled in from the central FAQ collection (see the FAQ article) — you're picking which existing FAQ entries to show, not writing new ones. Add at least one FAQ item. Because the source is shared, editing an answer in FAQ updates it everywhere it's used.

Accordion

A block of expandable rows you write fresh, just for this page — an optional intro paragraph, then rows with their own title and rich text content.

A row's content can itself embed a Call to Action or a Video Player from the toolbar. Don't embed a Text Section, an Image+Text block or People Cards inside an accordion row — they currently don't display. Type the row's content directly instead.

Accordion vs FAQ Section vs the small inline accordion in a Text Section: use Accordion for one-off expandable content that belongs only on this page. Use FAQ Section when the same questions should also appear elsewhere, since it pulls from the shared FAQ list. The small accordion available from the text toolbar (covered in Forms, video and embeds) is for a quick expandable note in the middle of a paragraph, not a full section.

Call to Action

A short message with up to two buttons. Write the text, then add one or two links (button label, where it goes — an internal page, a custom URL, or a file — and whether it opens in a new tab).

This is also available as an inline embed from inside a Text Section or Image+Text block's toolbar, for a call to action in the middle of your text rather than its own full-width section — it's the same block either way.
