Alert banners
Alert Banners is under Content. It's a short site-wide notice — a closure, a weather alert, a time-sensitive announcement — shown as a banner rather than a full article. Saving publishes immediately; there's no draft state.
Fields that matter
| Field | Notes |

| Title | Internal only — not shown publicly |
| Message | The banner text itself. Limited to 160 characters — the field will tell you if you're over |
| Start Date and End Date | Required start; end is optional — leave it blank for a banner with no scheduled end |
| Member Only | Hides it from visitors who haven't signed in on the public website |
| Visibility | A manual on/off switch, independent of the date range |
| Featured On | Where it shows — Homepage and/or the Events page. Both can be selected |
Both Visibility and the date range have to allow the banner for it to actually show — think of Visibility as a master switch on top of the schedule, not a replacement for it.
